Lesson2 Browser as PLE

Think
Before you began this course, what arrangements did you make (or still do) to try and ensure that you could do any work you wanted to do during the day?

I did not do any special device.

Explore
View a couple of these screenshot tours 1 2 3 4 showing how different users have developed a personal work environment in Firefox (FF). Most users have provided details on what extensions or tweaks they've made to develop their browser as a personal work environment. Take notes on some of the features that look interesting.

I think it is risky under some circumstances that to add so many tools to our FF. Some FF users use over 7 or 8 tools for FF so their browser is too useful not to work on without FF. I do not want to think about what they can do when their browser is wrong with.

Explain
Write a post reflecting on this early version your PLE (Firefox on a USB drive & the add-ons) with reference to the four SCICU Key Questions.

1. What are the main skills needed to use your PLE?

It is to know about how to use add-on systems.

2. What are the affordances of your PLE (what does it make possible, what does it impede)?
It is useful that I can use my own customized FF any PC. A disadvantage (but it is inevitable) is that FF for Windows works in Windows only.

3. How can your PLE be used to network professionally and connect you (& other students) to learning resources?
I can get information more easily than before to use social bookmark (Delicious) because of tag.

4.
What skills and understandings have you learned from creating a PLE that may promote your development as an effective learner in the digital age?
It is important to choose tools what I need.

Hi Moe, I am afraid that your answers for Think and Explore do not address the tasks effectively. In Explain, there was a good opportunity for you to talk about the extensions you installed and how you think they will be useful to you. Overall, your answer is under length and needs developing more. Grade: C-
